Symphony No. 4 Commissioned

TOKYO, Japan – Maestro Ray E. Cramer and the Musashino Academia Musicae Wind Ensemble has commissioned Kevin Walczyk to compose a new work for the unveiling of the music academy’s newly constructed building. The resulting work is Walczyk’s Symphony No. 4 – Unforsaken, which will be premiered and recorded this July in Tokyo by the commissioning party. Performance materials for the new work are expected to be available in September 2017.

Symphony No. 4 – Unforsaken, which features Japanese folk music elements throughout, will mark the 5th commissioning collaboration between Cramer, Walczyk, and the Musashino Academia Musicae.
